Do You Know Why You Cannot Stop Bulimia?

I really don’t know what’s worst bulimia or anorexia. All I know is that all forms of Eating Disorders are dangerous. But with Bulimia I have learnt, that it is the vicious cycle of binging and purging that a sufferer really feels stuck in. “WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO STOP BULIMIA!?”

Well, there is a scientific explanation for this.
Below I explained the 2 main facts why bulimia is so
difficult to stop.

FACT #1: YOUR BULIMIA IS DIRECTED BY YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

That’s right! You might have heard this before, but maybe you
didn’t understand this fact entirely…So let me explain this.

Our mind is basically divided into the conscious mind and
subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is responsible for the thinking processes
like logic and reasoning. The conscious mind is also much
smaller and weaker than the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is far more powerful!! It’s responsible
for involuntary actions like your heart beat or your
breathing rate. It is also the “storage room” of all your
beliefs, emotions, habits and memories.

You are able to easily change your conscious mind just by
changing the way you think, but you don’t have the direct
access to control your subconscious mind.

As bulimia is controlled by your subconscious, you are not
able to stop it just by thinking “OK, I don’t want to be
bulimic anymore – STOP!” ….

It doesn’t work this way I’m afraid and we both know this…

Your Bulimia has nothing to do with your logic thinking
either:(

Wishing to stop, won’t bring any major change to your life
simply because you cannot “talk to” your subconscious.
Willpower and positive thinking themselves are too weak to
convince your subconscious to stop binging and purging…

I really cannot stress this more!

FACT #2: IT’S MUCH EASIER TO “PROGRAM” YOURSELF TO BECOME
BULIMIC THAN TO “RE-PROGRAM” YOURSELF TO STOP BEING ONE.

OK, so HOW is this possible that you became bulimic at the
first place?

You simply “programmed” yourself to become Bulimic.
Repetitive binging and purging became your “bad habit”.

Every new skill you learn and repeat will become your habit
sooner or later; no matter if this is good for you or not!

From the scientific and biologic point of view, it’s
necessary that something we do over and over again, become
automatic in order to free up the conscious mind, so it may
attend to other things.

When your “new skill” (like binging/purging) becomes
automatic, it means that your subconscious mind takes
control over it. And this is when the problems began in
regards to your bulimia, because at this point you lose
control over it!

From this point it is very difficult for you to overcome
binging and purging urges… You do it no mater what you
want(automatically).

So in other words, it’s very easy to “program” yourself to
became bulimic. You simply repeat and repeat binging and
purging until your subconscious mind takes control over
it.

But it gets extremely complicated when it comes to
“re-programing”, because your subconscious already
“knows what to do” and it “doesn’t listen” to you.

Again, your subconscious has NO LOGIC! It doesn’t
“think about” what is good and what is bad for you. It only
repeats the processes that you have programmed, no matter
what you think and what you want later on!

IT Doesn’t Sound Promising, heh?

Well, there are many methods to successfully influence your
subconscious mind and make your bulimia go away! I will be
talking about them later on in this email course 🙂

For now, I just want to stress that changing your thinking to
“positive” is usually not enough to overcome bulimia. Positive
thinking is actually only a very first step in your bulimia
recovery.
